The Bench Top Cooling Tower, "TTEB", designed by EDIBON, allows a detailed study of the evaporative cooling process in an open system with direct air-water contact. Thanks to its compact and versatile design, the equipment facilitates the understanding of the heat and mass transfer mechanisms involved in the operation of industrial cooling towers. Its construction makes it possible to reproduce, at laboratory scale, the behavior of real systems used for thermal dissipation in industrial processes, offering a high-value educational and research tool. The equipment consists of a closed water circuit and an open air circuit, where the thermal exchange takes place. Hot water is pumped from a tank equipped with a heating element and level control to the top of the tower, where it is evenly distributed before descending through the cooling column. During this process, the water transfers heat to the air flowing in the opposite direction, cooling down before returning to the tank. The tower includes an electronically controlled fan that allows precise adjustment of the air flow rate, and a pump that drives the water flow. The equipment is equipped with temperature sensors strategically
